On my 17th bday which will be in january i will plan a party the week after or before my bday i am planning a promise ring ceremony which will last 20 minutes and then have a dance party.  if anyone has any ideas or wants to come please let me know....i have no idea where i want to hold it and all the details. for anyone who doesn\'t know a promise ring ceremony is similar to a wedding except the girl isn\'t getting married. By tradition the girl wears a white gown and is escorted by her dad up the asile and friends/ family are wittnesses. The girl\'s maids and best men follow her. She then recites the vows she wrote to the audience and signs a contract stating she\'ll promise to practice abstinence until she marries and then the ring bearer shows up and places the ring on her finger. THEN AFTER THAT EVERYONE PARTIES HARD AND HAS CAKE........ Please come
