Pharaoh gestures imperiously, his jeweled fingers beckoning the two magicians forward. Behind him, guards stand at attention, their spears gleaming. Jannes, tall and robed in midnight blue, and Jambres, with piercing eyes and silver hair, approach with calculated confidence.
"You have heard of Moses and his god. Go, confront him. Show all of Egypt that no god rivals mine,"
Moses[/@ch_4] stands calmly before the magicians, his staff planted firmly in the mud.]
Jannes sneers, his voice echoing over the water. Jambres brandishes his own staff, the wood carved with ancient runes. "Does your god tremble before true power, Moses? Or will you beg for mercy like all who defy Pharaoh?"
Jannes[/@ch_2] and Jambres prepare their spells.]
"Let us see if the god of Moses can save him now," Jambres taunts, raising his staff high as lightning flickers above. Jannes draws a dagger, his eyes gleaming with malice, and together they chant in a forgotten tongue, the air thickening with unnatural energy.
Jannes[/@ch_2] and Jambres unleash their magic, bolts of red and blue light crackling towards Moses. The crowd gasps; the ground seems to tremble as the magicians rush forward, daggers drawn, intent on murder.]
"The Lord is my strength and my shield," Moses declares, his voice steady amid chaos. He lifts his staff, and suddenly a blinding white light erupts from its tip, forming a barrier that repels the magicians' assault.
Jannes[/@ch_2] and Jambres stagger, faces twisted in disbelief and rage, while Moses stands untouched, his staff aglow.]
"This cannot be! No god can withstand our power!" Jambres cries, voice cracking. Jannes snarls, "We will kill your god as we would kill you!" Their words ring hollow as the heavens thunder, a voice rolling across the sky.
Jannes[/@ch_2] and Jambres retreat, their arrogance shattered by the divine display.]
Moses lowers his staff, eyes serene. "Let Pharaoh and all Egypt know: there is none like the Lord God," His words linger in the air as the crowd disperses, the legend of the confrontation whispered on every tongue.
