Clarisse La Rue, a formidable daughter of Ares, stands poised and confident, her muscles tense with anticipation. Opposite her, Alex, a strategic thinker and son of Athena, studies her movements, calculating his next move. "Ready to eat dirt, Alex?"
Alex tries to gain leverage, pushing against Clarisse with all his might. "Not so fast, Clarisse!" he grunts, but she anticipates his every move. With a swift motion, Clarisse lifts him over her shoulder, spinning gracefully before setting him down. Dizzy, Alex staggers, struggling to regain his footing.
Clarisse doesn't gloat; instead, she offers a hand to Alex, helping him up. "You did well, for an Athena kid," she compliments, a hint of respect in her voice.
The duo passes the Athena cabin, its owl emblem glinting in the twilight. "Uh, Clarisse, that's my stop," Alex points out, confusion in his voice. But Clarisse marches on, undeterred.
"You're sleeping in my cabin tonight," Clarisse declares firmly, "no matter what the gods say." Her tone leaves no room for argument, and Alex, though surprised, accepts his fate with a chuckle. "Guess I can't argue with that," he concedes, a smile tugging at his lips.
