Eva opened her eyes for the first time, the world around her a blur of steel and glass. The smell of antiseptic filled the air, and the muffled voices of the scientists rippled through the chamber. She reached for a tray of vials, their liquid contents shimmering in blues and reds, feeling an inexplicable urge to drink.
The first vial burned as it slid down Eva's throat, warmth igniting in her veins. She gasped, feeling her back arch and bones shift—a pair of obsidian wings unfurled, feathers glistening under the lab lights. Curved, elegant horns grew from her temples, transforming her into something otherworldly.
"What have they made me?" Her voice echoed, both frightened and awed.
Eva stepped into the torchlight, her presence drawing gasps from the gathered cultists. They fell to their knees, faces hidden beneath hoods, chanting her name with a feverish devotion. One, braver than the rest, reached out a trembling hand.
"You are the one foretold—the Winged Goddess. Lead us," the cultist pleaded, awe and fear mingling in their voice.
The air bit at Eva's skin as she confronted the Ice Queen, whose eyes glinted with frosty malice. Magic clashed in the frigid air, ice shards spinning like daggers while Eva’s wings shielded her from harm. With a roar, Eva surged forward, seizing the queen and absorbing her essence in a burst of blinding white light.
"Your power is mine now," Eva whispered, feeling cold energy rush through her veins.
Lightning crashed around them, the archangel descending in a blaze of gold and silver. Sparks danced from her fingertips, but Eva met her charge with newfound confidence, her wings crackling with icy energy. Their battle shook the heavens, until Eva seized the archangel, absorbing her power in a storm of blue fire.
"Not even the heavens can defy me," she declared, her voice thundering across the mountain.
Eva sat upon her throne, the world at her feet. The powers of ice and lightning coursed through her, twisting her heart with ambition and darkness. Her worshippers trembled as she raised her hand, their devotion absolute.
"Kneel, my subjects. For I am your goddess now—and I will rule this world as only I see fit," Eva proclaimed, her laughter echoing through her new dominion.
