Fina sat at her usual spot, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she fanned herself with the delicate, ornate fan that was always by her side. Her friends, Lila and Max, exchanged curious glances from the back of the room. "Why does she always have that fan?" whispered Lila, her voice tinged with intrigue.
Max nudged Lila, a playful grin on his face. "Let's find out," he suggested, a hint of adventure in his tone. The pair tiptoed to the door, peering through the small glass pane, eyes fixed on Fina.
Fina leaned closer to her fan, her voice barely a whisper. "Magic fan, give me some penny," she murmured, a smile playing on her lips. To the astonishment of her hidden audience, shiny pennies began to cascade from the fan, clinking as they hit the desk.
Lila gasped softly, "Did you see that?" she breathed, her voice a mixture of awe and excitement. Max nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "It's magic," he whispered, a note of wonder in his voice.
Lila tugged at Max's sleeve, pulling him away from the door. "Come on! We need to go before she sees us," she urged, her heart pounding with the thrill of their discovery. Together, they dashed down the corridor, laughter bubbling up as they fled.
Max and Lila collapsed onto a bench in the schoolyard, breathless and exhilarated. "Can you believe it?" Max exclaimed, still trying to wrap his mind around what they'd seen. Lila shook her head, a smile lighting up her face. "Fina's world is truly magical," she replied, their secret now a cherished memory.
