Harry Potter awakens to the rustle of footsteps overhead and the distant clatter of dishes. He stretches in his small bed, blinkingly gazing at the faded spiderwebs on the ceiling.
"Another day with the Dursleys," he murmurs softly, longing for something more than chores and quiet loneliness.
Uncle Vernon snatches up the mail, his face turning red as he sees Harry's name written in elegant script. Harry Potter peers over his shoulder, curiosity burning in his eyes.
"No such thing as special mail for you, boy!"
"But that's my name—and that's my cupboard address," Harry protests, reaching for the letter as Uncle Vernon tries to hide it.
He breaks the wax seal, unfolding the parchment to read words that tremble with magic. "Dear Harry Potter, you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
"Witchcraft and wizardry? Me?" Harry whispers, heart pounding as a sense of wonder sweeps over him.
Hagrid, Keeper of Keys at Hogwarts, introduces himself with a booming voice and a gentle smile. Harry Potter stands frozen, awestruck by the stranger’s size and warmth.
"Harry, you're a wizard. And it's time you knew the truth," Hagrid says, handing Harry a second, official-looking letter with a twinkle in his eye.
Harry Potter listens in disbelief, his mind spinning as Hagrid describes magical creatures, enchanted wands, and the secret history of his parents.
"So my mum and dad weren't just gone—they were heroes?"
"The bravest there ever was. And now, it's your turn," Hagrid assures him, his smile full of hope and kindness.
Harry Potter clutches his letter, excitement and fear battling in his chest. For the first time, he sees beyond the ordinary—towards a future filled with wonder.
"I’m ready. Let’s go to Hogwarts," Harry says, stepping forward into the unknown, his life changed forever.
