Jacob Max blinked, his heart pounding as he tumbled out of the vortex, landing on a pavement that vibrated with energy. He gazed around, bewildered by the sight of airplanes standing upright and people entering cars as if they were tiny markets. The air tingled with a faint magical hum, but it seemed subdued, almost as though someone was holding it back.
"Where am I? This can't be Earth," he whispered, gripping his rainbow wand tightly.
Max Jacob paused at the edge of a plaza, his eyes scanning the city with an air of control. People watched him with a mixture of awe and fear, stepping aside as he passed. His purple wand glimmered with restrained magic, casting shadows that danced along the walls.
"No one else needs magic here but me," he muttered, a sly smile curling on his lips, "As long as I hold the power, Jakins Earth is safe."
Ben Greg steps out from the shadows, his eyes locking with Jacob Max's. The orb hovers between them, pulsing with untapped energy, revealing that magic still thrives beneath Max Jacob's rule.
"Welcome to Jakins Earth, Jacob Max," he says, his voice steady but urgent. "We need your help. Max Jacob isn’t the only one with magic—he just wants everyone to believe he is. Together, we can stop him."
Jacob Max joins Ben Greg, anxiety and hope warring in his eyes. Ben Greg lays out the truth: Max Jacob draws power from the city’s magic grid, and only a united effort can break his control. The rooftop trembles as Jacob Max considers the choice before him.
"If stopping Max Jacob means restoring magic for everyone, I’ll help," he says, determination hardening his voice.
Max Jacob stands atop a glowing dais, power flickering around him in violet sparks. Jacob Max and Ben Greg step forward, wands raised, energy swirling between them. The crowd below watches, breathless, as the atmosphere vibrates with the promise of change.
"You can’t take my power," Max Jacob shouts, but Jacob Max meets his gaze, unwavering.
"We don’t want to take it—we want to share it," Jacob Max declares, his rainbow wand blazing with multicolored light.
People emerge from the shops and plane-buildings, tentatively casting small spells—flowers bloom in their palms, laughter erupts in the streets, and magic dances everywhere. Max Jacob stands quietly, humbled but relieved, while Ben Greg and Jacob Max exchange hopeful glances.
"Thank you, Jacob Max. Jakins Earth is free again," Ben Greg says, as the city awakens to a new era where magic belongs to all.
