Loki strolled leisurely through the crowded hallway, his eyes glinting with mischief as he observed the children dressed as characters from stories and legends. His attention was drawn to a girl in a corner, her attire a striking mirror of his own—green and gold, with a horned helmet just like his.
"Well, isn't this interesting," he murmured to himself, a sly smile playing on his lips.
He watched as she disappeared into the restroom, curiosity piqued. Following her, he found her standing at the sink, adjusting her helmet with a concentrated expression.
"Quite the outfit," he remarked, leaning casually against the doorframe.
The Girl, startled, turned to face him, her eyes widening in recognition and disbelief.
"You're... you're Loki!" she stammered, a mix of excitement and awe in her voice.
Loki chuckled, the sound echoing ominously off the walls. "Indeed, I am. And you must be my doppelgänger," he said, gesturing to her costume. "I dressed up as you for tthe school cosplay day," the girl explained, her voice gaining confidence. "You're my favorite character!" Loki raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And why is that?" he asked, genuinely curious.
"You’re clever, unpredictable, and you challenge the norms," the girl replied passionately. "You make people think differently. That's powerful."
Loki nodded, a thoughtful look crossing his face. "Interesting. Most people see me as a trickster, a villain," he mused.
"I see you as a force for change," the girl countered, her gaze unwavering.
Loki felt a strange warmth in his chest, a sensation unfamiliar and foreign. "Perhaps there is more to me than even I realize," he admitted, a rare moment of introspection.
The girl smiled brightly, as if she had uncovered a hidden truth. "Everyone has layers," she said simply.
Loki straightened, his usual confidence returning. "Thank you, little one. You've given me much to ponder," he said, offering her a nod of respect.
"Anytime, Loki," the girl replied, her voice filled with newfound courage.
With a final glance, Loki exited the restroom, his mind swirling with possibilities and the girl's admiration echoing in his thoughts.
