Noir Lynx stood at the edge of the courtyard, his silver eyes scanning the sea of faces. His heart thudded with a mix of excitement and apprehension. "So this is Beacon," he murmured, adjusting the strap of Shadow Claw on his back. His gaze lingered on a group of students practicing combat, the clang of weapons ringing through the air.
Simon Furr, an energetic bunny Faunus with bouncing ears, bounded over to Noir with a bright smile. "Can you believe we made it here, Noir?" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement. Noir chuckled, the tension in his chest easing slightly. "It's surreal, but we're here to make a difference," he replied, watching as Simon's enthusiasm drew the attention of nearby students.
Noir focused on his opponent, his mind a calm sea despite the chaos around him. With a swift movement, he transformed Shadow Claw into its scythe form, the blade gleaming under the sunlight. His opponent charged, and Noir danced around him, using his semblance to create a glyph beneath his feet, propelling himself upward effortlessly. "You're fast," his opponent admitted, panting. "And you're strong," Noir replied, offering a hand to help him up.
Simon joined Noir at a bench overlooking the courtyard. "You were amazing today," he said, his admiration evident. Noir shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips. "I still have a lot to learn, but it's great having you here, Simon," he admitted, feeling the warmth of camaraderie.
Noir practiced his semblance in secret, creating intricate glyphs that shimmered in the moonlight. He knew he had to keep this ability hidden, at least for now. "I need to understand it fully before sharing it," he thought, his determination solidifying with each glyph he conjured.
Noir stood at his window, watching the world come alive. He felt a renewed sense of purpose, ready to face whatever lay ahead. "I'll protect them all," he vowed, his resolve as strong as the morning light flooding the room.
