Princess Lira tiptoed between the towering bookshelves, her heart pounding with excitement. She reached the forbidden alcove where her uncle, the court magician, kept his most mysterious spellbook. With trembling hands, she slid the heavy volume from its pedestal, her emerald eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Just one little peek," she whispered to herself, opening the book to a page marked with swirling silver runes.
Princess Lira read aloud the incantation, her voice trembling with both nervousness and glee. As the final word left her lips, a shimmering glow enveloped her body, and she felt a curious tingling sensation. Suddenly, her waist expanded, her dress tightening, and her belly grew round and soft until she was astonishingly chubby—her belly big and plush, stretching the royal silk fabric.
"Oh! What in the world—?"
Princess Lira waddled gleefully through the gardens, her chubby belly bouncing with each step. She gazed at her reflection in the sparkling water, giggling at her new, round silhouette. Unashamed and delighted, she slipped into the cool pool, floating effortlessly, her laughter echoing off the stone walls.
"I've never felt so buoyant and happy in my life!"
Uncle Magnus, the court magician, appeared at the edge of the pool, his long robes fluttering in the breeze and his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Lira, what have you done? My spellbook is missing, and... by the stars, look at you!"
Princess Lira grinned, floating serenely in the water.
"Uncle, I just wanted to try a spell, and now I feel wonderful!"
Uncle Magnus knelt, picking up the soggy spellbook and sighing deeply.
"Magic is powerful, Lira. You must always be careful—spells are not toys."
Princess Lira blushed, her chubby cheeks glowing.
"I'm sorry, Uncle. But... is it wrong to love myself like this?"
"Of course not, my dear. Self-love is a magic all its own—just promise me next time, you’ll ask first."
Princess Lira hugged her uncle, her big belly squishing between them, and both laughed under the gentle moonlight. She knew she would always cherish this magical adventure—and the new confidence it brought her. The spellbook was returned safely, but some spells, she realized, were worth keeping close to the heart.
