Princess Lily tiptoed across the garden path, her slippers barely making a sound in the quiet morning. Her hair, wild from sleep, bounced as she chased the rabbit, ignoring the warning calls of the palace maids. A mischievous glint shone in her blue eyes, as adventure always seemed to find her—whether she wanted it or not.
Sir Cedric, the royal guard, spotted Princess Lily as she darted past the kitchens, a trail of flour dust following her. "Princess Lily, your lessons begin in just ten minutes! Where are you off to now?" But she only grinned, slipping out a side door before he could catch her.
Princess Lily flopped onto a pile of soft moss, her heart pounding with excitement. She pulled out a crumpled map from her pocket, planning her next grand escapade. "If only I could find the dragon’s cave today, maybe then Father would see I’m not just a troublesome princess," she whispered to herself, determination lighting up her face.
Princess Lily pushed through the undergrowth, following the map’s mysterious markings. Suddenly, her foot slipped on a mossy root and she tumbled into a shallow ravine, landing in a patch of mud. Mud streaked her dress, but her laughter rang out as she struggled to her feet, unhurt but thoroughly disheveled.
Sir Cedric led the group, worry etched into his brow. "Lily! Where are you? Princess, answer me!" At last, Princess Lily waved from the ravine, her laughter echoing. "Down here! I’m fine, just a little muddy!" Relieved, the rescuers helped her out, shaking their heads at her latest adventure.
Princess Lily sat wrapped in a blanket, sipping hot cocoa as Sir Cedric joined her by the fireplace. "You always find trouble, Lily," he said, but his eyes twinkled with affection. "Maybe trouble just likes me," she replied, a small smile playing on her lips, already dreaming of her next adventure.
