Asher picked his way through the undergrowth, boot steps muffled by fallen leaves. The crash was fresher than the rumors had claimed—cables still sizzled, and the insignia of the Rebel Alliance was visible on the battered hull. Near the cockpit, a figure in a red flight suit—Red Leader, the legendary pilot—struggled to free himself from the harness. "Hang on, I'm coming to help," called Asher, urgency sharpening his voice as he knelt beside the pilot.
From the underbrush, Poison Ivy, Asher's mother, emerged, her auburn hair luminous in the moonlight. She regarded the entangled pilot with a sly smile, her green eyes glinting with intent. "Welcome to our forest, Red Leader. You look like you could use some...rest," she purred, her voice both soothing and unsettling. Red Leader hesitated, wary but exhausted. "Who are you? What is this place?"
Poison Ivy led Red Leader into her home, her arm gentle but unyielding. Asher trailed behind, unease flickering in his eyes. "You must rest, brave pilot. These plants will help you sleep," Poison Ivy whispered, brushing her fingers along Red Leader's forehead. Within seconds, the vines coiled around him, blossoms releasing a shimmering mist. "Wait—what are you—?" His words faded as the plant's toxins took hold, eyes fluttering shut.
Commander Lira, the acting leader, slammed her fist on the console. "Still no word from Red Leader. Scramble the squadrons—X-wings, Y-wings, A-wings. We're getting him back," Pilots rushed to their ships, engines roaring to life and painting the clearing with blue and orange light. The rescue mission had begun.
Asher huddled beside his mother, both watching in awe and fear as rebel forces landed. Poison Ivy's grip tightened on her son, her powers straining against the onslaught. Commander Lira burst through the shattered doors, blaster drawn. "Release Red Leader, Ivy. Or you and your son will face the consequences,""You trespass in my sanctuary, and now you threaten my child?" Poison Ivy snapped, her anger blooming like thorns.
Asher then asked politely her mother to not hurt them and to return red leader to the rebel alliance. And so Poison Ivy did as her son asked.
Asher glanced back at the ruins of his home, sorrow warring with relief that no lives were lost. Commander Lira placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You made a difficult choice, Asher. But the galaxy is safer today," Then Red Leader asked Commander Lira if the rebel alliance has an extra ship for Poison Ivy 's son. Commander Lira said yes the rebels do have an extra ship for them. but it was an old. Asher said that he turn it from an old one to a new ship.As the rebels departed, the morning light glinted off their ships, promising hope in the aftermath of betrayal and rescue.
