Inside a humble hut, villagers gather in awe as a newborn lies swaddled in woven cloth. To everyone's shock, the infant gazes about with sharp, knowing eyes. Lam-ang, a fighter kid from the Cordilleras with a strong aura, takes his first breath and then, astonishingly, speaks. "Mother, where is my father?"
Lam-ang learns from his mother that his father was slain by the Igorots. Grief and fury cloud his young face, but resolve soon hardens his features. "I will find those who wronged us and bring justice to our family," he declares, his tiny fists clenched, the villagers staring in disbelief at his courage.
With supernatural speed and strength, Lam-ang traverses treacherous terrain, his senses alert. He confronts the Igorot warriors, their faces painted and weapons drawn, in a fierce clash of wills and steel. Unfazed, Lam-ang unleashes powers that send shockwaves through the earth, and, after a dramatic battle, he avenges his father’s death.
With vengeance fulfilled, Lam-ang sets his sights on Ines Kannoyan, famed for her beauty and wit. Suitors with magical pets—fiery stallions, talking cats, and clever monkeys—vie for her hand, performing dazzling feats. Undeterred, Lam-ang presents his loyal rooster and dog, whose clever tricks and unwavering devotion capture the heart of Ines Kannoyan.
During a celebratory swim, a monstrous serpent emerges, its scales glistening in the pale light. With a roar like thunder, it seizes Lam-ang and drags him beneath the surface. Screams echo as bubbles rise and the water stains crimson, villagers mourning what appears to be a tragic end.
Refusing to accept defeat, Lam-ang’s rooster scratches and crows, while his loyal dog howls plaintively, their magic calling forth his spirit. Miraculously, the water boils and bursts apart—Lam-ang emerges, alive and triumphant. Cheers erupt as Ines Kannoyan rushes to his side, and together, with his magical pets, they promise a life filled with happiness and peace.
