Iron Man hovered above the tallest building, his armor gleaming in the dim light. The city's lights flickered on like stars below him. Suddenly, a dark mass slithered up the side of the building, its movement fluid and unpredictable.
Venom emerged, his presence an ominous shadow against the evening sky.
"You think you can stop us, Stark?" Venom taunted, his voice a guttural growl.
"I don't just think it, I know it," Iron Man replied, his voice steady through the crackling comms.
Metal met symbiote with a thunderous impact, the sheer force of their collision sending shockwaves that rattled windows. Iron Man maneuvered through the chaos, using every ounce of his suit's capabilities to keep up with Venom's unpredictable assaults.
"You're not just here for a fight, are you?" Iron Man asked, his mind racing to piece together the puzzle.
"You're smarter than you look," Venom sneered, his voice dripping with menace.
Iron Man quickly pulled up schematics and data trails, his HUD displaying a web of connections that made his heart sink. "It's bigger than us, isn't it?" he muttered, more to himself than his adversary.
"For now, we have a common enemy," Venom stated, his tone begrudgingly accepting.
"Then let's settle this together," Iron Man agreed, extending a hand.
As the sun rose over New York, the two unlikely allies prepared to face the looming threat, their rivalry momentarily set aside for the greater good.
