Datu Mabrur sat cross-legged, his eyes closed in deep meditation, a picture of tranquility despite the harsh elements. The salty breeze whispered secrets of the sea, while the sun painted golden hues across the water. The azure sky stretched infinitely above, reflecting the vastness within his own spirit.
Each day, Datu Mabrur was tested by nature's relentless forces, yet his resolve never wavered. The sun's heat bore down upon him, his skin glistening with sweat, while the night brought a biting chill that seeped into his bones. Even as rain and dew became his only sustenance, his prayers remained unbroken, echoing his plea for an island to emerge from the depths.
Suddenly, the calm was shattered by a surge of water as the King of Swordfish leapt from the depths, its body gleaming with scales like polished silver. With a swift, fluid motion, Datu Mabrur deflected the attack, the creature crashing back into the turbulent waves. The sea around him teemed with thousands of fish, their sharp teeth glittering ominously.
"I am a swordfish, the King of Swordfish, ruler of these waters. Your meditation has caused the sea to surge. We are disturbed, so I decided to attack you. But you are truly powerful, Datu Mabrur. I surrender," gasped the swordfish, its eyes filled with pain and wonder as it lay trapped between jagged rocks. "So, those are your people?" "Yes, Datu. But before attacking you, we agreed. If I lost, we would submit and follow your every command."
Datu Mabrur gently healed the wounded king, refusing its offer of a golden palace beneath the waves. "My meditation seeks only an island for my descendants," he explained. "I will not lie. This is the oath of a king!" declared the swordfish, its voice a solemn vow. With a final, gentle touch, Datu Mabrur released it back to the sea.
Suddenly, the sea trembled with life as millions of fish began pushing up a new landmass from the ocean floor, chanting in unison, "Sa-ijaan! Sa-ijaan! Sa-ijaan!" Datu Mabrur watched in awe as the new island emerged, his heart filled with gratitude. Naming it Halimun Island, he praised the Creator and the sea's inhabitants, ensuring his legacy as the island's eternal protector.
