Aurora sat by the window, her eyes tracing the treetops where mist lingered in the early light. Her heart fluttered with an unexplainable excitement, as if the woods were calling her name.
Alicia, younger by four years, tugged at her hand, eager for adventure.
"Do you think we'll find anything magical today, Aurora?"
Aurora squeezed her sister’s hand, her own footsteps light with anticipation. Suddenly, a flash of blue darted through the undergrowth—a fox, shimmering with an ethereal glow, its three tails trailing like ribbons.
"Did you see that, Alicia? A blue fox—with three tails!"
"Let's follow it! Maybe it will lead us somewhere special,"
The blue fox pauses beside a hollow in an ancient oak, its eyes gleaming with intelligence. Without hesitation, it slips inside, vanishing from sight.
"Should we go in? Is it safe, Aurora?"
Aurora nods confidently, but when she tries to answer, her voice is gone, replaced by a soft, silvery silence.
Alicia hesitates, searching her sister’s eyes for reassurance. Trusting Aurora, she leaps into the hole, and the world blurs into a whirl of colors—blues, greens, and sparkling golds.
They land gently on springy moss, surrounded by vast, towering mushrooms and flowers that glow from within.
A tiny fairy, light trailing from her wings, darts around the girls, her laughter twinkling like bells. She circles them, eyes bright with curiosity.
Lira, the fairy guardian of the forest, floats before them.
"Who are you, and why have you come to our hidden wood?"
"My name is Aurora, and this is my little sister, Alicia. We followed the blue fox,"
"We didn't mean to intrude, but everything here feels so magical,"
"The forest is in danger. Shadows are creeping in, draining the magic from our home. Will you venture forth to help us save it?"
Aurora glances at Alicia, her heart pounding with fear and excitement. She nods, determination shining in her eyes.
"We will help. We promise,"
"We'll do whatever it takes. Together,"
