Bubble knelt in the grass, her pink cheeks glowing with happiness as she gently stroked her rabbit’s fur. Nearby, her loyal dog, Patch, chased after a fluttering butterfly, his tail wagging furiously. The sky overhead was a brilliant blue, only a few wisps of cloud lazing by.
Bubble looked up, surprised by the sudden change in weather. "Patch, come here! It's going to rain soon," she called, her voice trembling as the first fat raindrops began to fall. Just as Patch bounded towards her, a blinding flash of lightning split the sky, striking the ground right between them.
Bubble stared in disbelief, her heart pounding in her chest. "No, no, no! Patch, where did you go?" she cried, crawling towards the flower. Tears welled up in her eyes as she gently cupped the blossom, noticing how it seemed to tremble in her hands.
Bubble wiped her tears away, determination setting in. "I can't let you fade away, Patch. I have to fix this. There must be a way," she whispered fiercely, glancing around as if the answer might be hidden in the shadows under the oak tree. With trembling hands, she scooped up the flower and sprinted inside, desperate to save her beloved friend.

"There has to be something... A spell, a wish, anything," she muttered, her eyes darting over the pages. Her rabbit hopped onto her lap, nuzzling the flower’s stem as if offering comfort. Suddenly, she remembered her grandmother’s old rhyme: “To undo what lightning’s done, a promise true must be begun.”

"Patch, I promise—no matter what happens, I will always take care of you and never let you feel alone. Come back to me, please," she whispered, her voice trembling but full of love. As the last word left her lips, the flower glowed with a soft golden light, its petals unfurling and twisting, reshaping into the familiar, furry form of Patch.

"You're back! I knew you would be," she laughed, hugging Patch tightly. The three friends tumbled into the grass, basking in the sunshine and the magic of their unbreakable bond, grateful for the promise that brought them back together.
