Will's mum, absorbed in the menu, sat with a furrowed brow, pondering her choices. Meanwhile, Will found his attention drifting towards the corner, where the melancholy cat lay. Crouching down, Will whispered softly, extending a gentle hand. "What's your name, then?" he inquired, offering the cat his presence rather than treats or toys.
The cat, known as Bitter Melon, nudged the door with his nose, inviting Will to follow. Will was drawn by an inexplicable pull, weaving between tables until he reached the mysterious doorway. "This is a secret passage, a gateway to any world, any time. Fancy a go?" Bitter Melon spoke, his voice a low rumble. "Blimey! You can talk?! That's brilliant!" Will exclaimed, excitement bubbling within him as he nodded eagerly.
Will found himself in awe as he realized they were in Ancient Greece. "Are we... in Ancient Greece?" he breathed, adjusting his spectacles. "Indeed," Bitter Melon confirmed, his tail flicking with alertness. Suddenly, a villager approached, pleading for help against monsters raiding their village. "What sort of monsters?" Will asked, feeling the stirrings of a hero within.
Will and Bitter Melon ventured into the forest, confronting Eurytion. "We're here to stop you!" Will declared, discovering his newfound power of light manipulation. A brilliant beam shot from his hands, blinding the minions. "Aim for his left hind hoof!" Bitter Melon called, guiding Will to defeat the centaur and restore peace.
Navigating the labyrinth with Bitter Melon's guidance, Will faced the Minotaur. Together with his summoned knight, they battled the beast, claiming the Orb of Wisdom. Will marveled at the knowledge it promised, feeling the weight of their victories.
Will returned to his seat, a grin on his face, while his mum remained blissfully unaware of his adventures. "What a trip!" he whispered to Bitter Melon, who returned to his corner, ready for their next journey whenever it may come.
