Chris entered the comic store, the familiar smell of old paper and ink wrapping around him like a nostalgic embrace. He wandered through the aisles, his eyes scanning the vibrant covers that lined the shelves. Despite his age, the allure of superheroes was something he had never outgrown.
As Chris reached the back of the store, the shopkeeper beckoned him towards a mysterious door. "Go on, step inside," the man urged with a cryptic smile. Curiosity piqued, Chris obliged, stepping into the dimly lit room. Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind him.
Chris barely had time to react before a laser shot out from the ceiling, enveloping him in a dazzling light. His body tingled and shifted, and when the light faded, he was no longer the man who had entered. Wally West, with ginger hair and the unmistakable red and yellow Flash costume, stared back at him from a nearby mirror.
Wally marveled at his new form, his hands running over the sleek suit. "I am the Flash?" he whispered, disbelief mingling with excitement. He felt lighter, faster, and as he moved, the world around him seemed to slow down, each step a blur of motion.
The door creaked open, revealing the shopkeeper, now looking more mysterious than ever. "Hello, [@ch_2]Wally. How do you like being the Flash?"[/@ch_3] he queried, a knowing glint in his eyes. Wally grinned wide, his heart racing with the thrill of newfound speed.
Wally took off, his legs a blur as he raced around the room, the walls a streak of colors. "This is great!" he exclaimed, the exhilaration of his powers coursing through him. He knew then that his life had been irrevocably changed, and he couldn't wait to explore the possibilities.
