Cora couldn't tear her gaze from Loki's pallid face, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. She felt the weight of the world pressing down on her shoulders, each beat of the rain echoing the heaviness in her heart. "Please, you have to fight," she whispered, clutching his cold hand.
Cora started at the sight, her breath catching as Godzilla's eyes found hers. A silent understanding passed between them, and Cora felt a flicker of hope amidst her fear. Godzilla shifted his gaze to Loki, and Cora knew what she must do.
The streetlights flickered overhead, casting a halo around Godzilla as he leaned down. Cora laid Loki at his feet, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and faith. Godzilla's enormous mouth descended, touching Loki's forehead with a gentleness that belied his size.
Loki's eyes fluttered open, a soft smile curling his lips. "Hello, my songbird," he murmured, his voice like a balm to Cora's aching soul. Cora fell into his arms, tears of joy replacing those of despair.
Cora's sister, Lilly, ran to greet Loki, her eyes wide with happiness. "Thank you for loving my big sister, Loki," she whispered, hugging him tightly. Loki chuckled, lifting her into the air. "If you wish me dead, Lilly, I would not be here," he teased gently, his heart full.
Cora looked around at the faces she loved, feeling a deep sense of gratitude. She glanced out of the window, where the silhouette of Godzilla lingered on the horizon. "Thank you, Godzilla, for bringing him back to me," she whispered, knowing that the bond they shared was as enduring as the stars above.
