Lena ran her fingers over the delicate spine of a leather-bound book, her eyes catching the glint of something unusual on a high shelf. Marcus was busy examining a tarnished compass, while Jade peered through a magnifying glass at a collection of ancient coins.
"Look at this," she called, reaching for a rolled parchment. Marcus joined Lena, curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
Jade leaned closer, her breath almost catching as she traced the lines with her finger. "These places... they don't exist on any map I've ever seen," Marcus murmured, his voice tinged with excitement.
"Maybe not in our world," Jade suggested, her eyes sparkling with a mix of skepticism and wonder.
Lena tapped the map thoughtfully. "We should try to find these places," she proposed, excitement bubbling in her voice.
Marcus nodded eagerly, "An adventure awaits! Who knows what we'll discover?"
Jade hesitated for a moment, before the allure of the unknown overcame her reservations. "Alright, let's do it," she agreed, a determined smile forming on her lips.
They follow the map’s cryptic directions, leaving the familiar behind. Lena carried the map with careful hands, while Marcus led the way, his compass swinging steadily. Jade brought up the rear, her mind swirling with anticipation and questions.
"I wonder what we'll find first," Lena mused aloud.
Jade shivered, pulling her jacket tighter. "Are we sure about this?" Marcus asked, a hint of doubt creeping into his voice.
Lena paused, looking at her friends. "We've come this far. We can't turn back now," she encouraged, though her own nerves danced beneath her words.
Jade gasped, "It's... it's beautiful," she whispered, eyes wide in awe.
Marcus took a step forward, a grin spreading across his face. "We did it. We found it," he exclaimed, his voice filled with wonder.
Lena smiled, her heart swelling with the thrill of discovery, knowing this was just the beginning of their journey into the unknown.
