Ramu sat by the riverbank, staring hopelessly into the deep water where his axe had disappeared. His heart was heavy with despair, knowing he could not work without it.
The old man's voice was soothing and offered a glimmer of hope. "Why do you look so sad?" he inquired. Ramu explained his predicament, and the old man reassured him with a warm smile. "Don't worry. I will help you. Just wait here."
"Is this your axe?" the old man asked, holding the golden tool. Ramu shook his head, his honesty unwavering. "No, that’s not mine." The old man repeated the dive, returning with a silver axe, but again Ramu denied ownership.
"Is this the one?" he asked. Ramu's face lit up with joy as he nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, that’s mine!" The old man, impressed by Ramu's honesty, rewarded him with all three axes. "Because you were truthful, take all these axes. They are yours."
Ramu, now prosperous but still humble, ventured deeper into the forest one day. There he stumbled upon a magical grove where mystical creatures gathered, their eyes wise and ancient.
The creatures spoke of honesty and deception, tales that mirrored Ramu's own experiences. Each story presented a choice between riches and integrity. Ramu listened intently, reminded of the old man's lesson and the value of truthfulness.
With a heart full of gratitude and wisdom, Ramu made his decision. He chose integrity over wealth, knowing that true prosperity lay in honesty. As he left the grove, the creatures watched with approving eyes, knowing Ramu would carry their lessons into the world beyond.
