Mia, the head cheerleader, was rummaging through her locker, her pom-poms tucked under one arm. The excitement of the upcoming homecoming game lit her eyes, but today something unusual caught her attention. Nestled between her textbooks was a small, shimmering gumball, its surface swirling with iridescent colors. "Where did this come from?" she wondered aloud, her curiosity piqued.
Mia couldn't shake the thought of the mysterious gumball. Jenna, her best friend and fellow cheerleader, caught up with her, her eyes filled with mischief. "What's that you've got there?" she asked, nodding towards the gumball. "I don't know, but it's calling to me," Mia replied, feeling an inexplicable urge to taste it.
With a deep breath, Mia popped the gumball into her mouth. A burst of flavor, unlike anything she'd ever experienced, filled her senses. "Wow," she whispered, marveling at the sensation. But soon, she felt a strange tingling spreading throughout her body, her skin prickling with an unfamiliar energy.
Mia hurried into the gym, feeling a peculiar heaviness in her limbs. As she joined her friends, she noticed their wide-eyed stares. Coach Thompson, their mentor, approached with concern. "Mia, are you feeling alright?" he asked, glancing at a large chest, a pudgy belly and fat legs. "I... I don't know what happened," Mia stammered, her heart pounding. Her body keeps expanding like a balloon. Her cheer skirt is stretched to it's limits while her waistline grows. Her belly looks like and her cheeks are chubbier. Her once skinny legs have gotten very fat.
Mia sat on the bleachers, deep in thought, and her body still growing in weight. Jenna joined her, offering a comforting smile. "You're still the same Mia, no matter what," she assured, wrapping an arm around her friend's obese shoulders. "I guess I just have to get used to the new me," Mia replied, a small smile forming as she began to accept the change.
Mia led her team with renewed confidence, her laughter echoing under the stars. The magic gumball had transformed her, but it hadn't changed her spirit. "Let's show them what we're made of!" she cheered, her voice resonating with determination. The game started and the her team kicked off. The cheer team started to cheer.
