Sakai, soaked and clutching a bent umbrella, fumbles with spare change at the sputtering ticket kiosk. The machine stutters, spits out a glossy purple ticket with the words “Unlimited Rides—Plot Required” scrawled in looping gold. Sakai squints, puzzled, as thunder rumbles above.
"Plot required? Is this a joke?" He tucks the ticket into his coat and boards the idling night bus, curiosity glimmering in his tired eyes.

Sakai flashes the ticket. Instead of the beep, a chime rings out, and the driver inclines her head.
"First time with the magic ticket, dear?"
He hesitates, then nods, clutching the handrail as the bus lurches forward into the rain-slicked night.
Teenager, a wiry youth in headphones, grins and proclaims, "Suddenly, the bus begins to float, and the traffic below becomes a sea of silver fish!" Instantly, the world shudders—the bus lifts off, drifting above shimmering fish-cars swimming through fog.
Passengers gasp, clutching seats, but the driver only laughs, Driver: "Better hold on. The ticket loves a dramatic entrance."
Sakai[/@ch_1], the newest passenger.]
A nervous excitement creeps up Sakai's spine. He clears his throat, feeling the weight of the magic ticket in his pocket.
"Without warning, the moon cracks open to reveal a staircase, and everyone must decide whether to climb or stay behind," he declares, voice wavering but strong.
The bus shudders, and outside, the moon splits, releasing a silvery stairway spiraling toward infinity.
Some leap eagerly onto the stairs, laughter trailing behind. Others—faces tense—cling to the velvet seats, unwilling to leave the familiar. Sakai stands at the door, heart pounding, ticket glowing in his palm.
Driver, eyes twinkling, calls out, "Every twist is a new road, dear. What story will you tell next?"
Sakai settles into his seat, the misprinted ticket now warm and pulsing, his mind brimming with ideas. Rain taps a steady rhythm on the glass as the magic bus glides into the unknown, each stop a new story waiting to unfold.
"Let’s see what happens when the bus enters a tunnel that leads to forgotten memories," he whispers, and the lights ahead flicker in anticipation.
