The Queen admired the spread before them, her eyes twinkling as she reached for a steaming puri. The rich aroma of spices filled the air, mingling with the sweet scent of ripe fruits. "I love to eat hot puris with vegetables. This pickle is also very good!"
The King, seated across from her, smiled indulgently as he picked up a fresh fruit. "I start with fresh fruits. Then I eat sweets. I eat puris last."
The Queen glanced at the empty chair beside her, a hint of concern etching her features. "Where is the prince?"
The Prince had turned his chair to face the window, his gaze fixed on the sky. His expression was distant, unsmiling. "My son, come and have dinner." "Come and have puris, fruits and sweets."
The Prince shook his head, his voice a whisper against the backdrop of the night. "No, no! I don't want to eat anything."
The Queen rose from her seat, approaching him with gentle resolve. "You don't want food? Then tell me what you want, my prince."
The Prince pointed to the moon hanging serenely in the sky. "I want the moon to play with."
The Queen smiled softly, an idea forming in her mind. She fetched a dish of water and placed it near the window, allowing the moon's reflection to shimmer on its surface. "I will bring the moon near you, my son."
The Prince leaned in, his eyes widening with delight as he reached out to touch the reflected moon. "Ha-ha! I can touch the moon! I can play with it."
The Queen joined the King back at the table, her heart light with happiness. "What about dinner now?"
The Prince turned, his face brightened by a newfound cheer. "Yes, I want dinner. I am so hungry."
As the Prince settled back at the table, the family shared stories and laughter, their joy reflected in the warm glow of candlelight. Each bite of food became a celebration, each moment a cherished memory under the gentle gaze of the moon.
In their dining room, transformed into a realm of dreams and reflections, the King, the Queen, and the Prince found happiness anew, their hearts forever bound by the magic of the night.
