Princess Elara, cloaked in her silken nightgown, tiptoed across the marble floor, heart thundering with excitement and nerves. The forbidden spellbook—her Uncle's most prized possession—gleamed with golden letters under the moon's watchful eye. She reached for it, her breath held, and slipped it into her satchel, determined to discover its secrets. "Just one spell for fun...what could possibly go wrong?"
With trembling hands, Elara read aloud from the spellbook, reciting words she barely understood. At first, nothing happened—then suddenly, her belly began to puff out, swelling larger and rounder until it pressed against her nightgown. She stared into the mirror, eyes wide, as her silhouette grew curvier by the second. "Oh no, what have I done?!" she exclaimed, spinning around in panic, but a strange delight glimmered in her eyes.
Seeking comfort, Elara waddled to the poolside, feeling the weight and warmth of her new belly. The water lapped invitingly at her feet, and she let herself float, the sensation oddly soothing. Though embarrassed, she couldn’t help but giggle as she bobbed along, her round belly making gentle waves. "At least no one will find me here...right?" she whispered, a smile tugging at her lips.
Desperate to reverse the spell, Elara tried another counter-charm, but the words twisted, and her belly grew even larger. Each day brought a new attempt—and each day, she swelled a bit more, her gowns straining at the seams. Frustration mixed with fascination as she watched herself grow, uncertain whether to laugh or cry. "Maybe tomorrow I’ll get it right..." she sighed, clutching the book close.
Uncle Cedric, imposing and wise, scanned the hall for his missing spellbook. The castle staff whispered in corners, anxious about the Princess’s odd absence from meals. At last, he found Elara—now with a truly enormous belly—struggling to hide behind a tapestry. "Elara, what on earth happened to you—and my spellbook?" he demanded, voice stern yet tinged with concern.
Elara, cheeks flushed with embarrassment and relief, confessed everything as her Uncle listened patiently. With his help, she recited the proper spell, feeling the magic swirl around her as her belly gradually returned to normal. "I’m sorry, Uncle—but it was an adventure I’ll never forget," she admitted, smiling sheepishly. "Curiosity is not a crime, Elara—so long as you’re willing to learn from your mistakes," he replied, ruffling her hair as the two laughed together, the spellbook safely back in its place.
