Gibby, the clumsy assistant, fumbled with a vial of shimmering liquid, his fingers slick with anxiety. His eyes darted nervously between the ancient spellbook and the row of regal portraits. "Just a drop should do it," he muttered, hoping to enchant the royal family’s ceremonial robes. Instead, with a sneeze, the entire vial tipped, spilling its contents onto the portraits. In an instant, the room was filled with a cacophony of quacks as the regal figures transformed into bewildered ducks.
Lora, the feisty princess, flapped awkwardly atop a tapestry, her once eloquent voice now a series of indignant quacks. Gibby ran down the corridor, dodging startled servants and attempting to gather the royal ducks. "Quack! Quack! Get me out of this mess!" Princess Lora demanded, her eyes full of fury and feathers.
Gibby and a determined Lora huddled over a particularly hefty tome. "There must be a reversal spell here somewhere," Gibby said, flipping through pages filled with intricate illustrations. Lora, her duck form perched on a pile of books, peered at the text. "We don't have much time, the ceremony is soon!"
Gibby carried a lantern, casting a warm glow on the path ahead as they ventured deeper into the forest. The journey was fraught with strange sounds and eerie shadows, but Gibby pressed on, guided by Lora’s determined quacks. "The Wand of Undoing should be near the Heart of the Forest," he reassured, hoping his words would be true.
Gibby approached the altar, Lora perched on his shoulder. Upon the altar lay the Wand of Undoing, glowing softly. "Here goes nothing," Gibby whispered, channeling the words of the reversal spell. A brilliant light enveloped the clearing, and as it faded, the quacks were replaced by the relieved sighs of a restored royal family.
The royal family, now human once more, stood proudly before their subjects. Gibby watched from the sidelines, a grin on his face as Lora gave him a subtle nod of thanks. "You did well," she whispered as she passed by, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. The ceremony commenced without a hitch, the kingdom none the wiser to the quacking chaos that almost was.
