Casthor the wizard, with his robe trailing through the underbrush, stumbled upon a peculiar sight. In his small hand rested a rainbow mango seed, shimmering with every hue imaginable. "A rainbow mango seed," he whispered, his big eyes wide with wonder and anticipation. The seed pulsed with magic, promising something extraordinary.
Casthor sought the help of his friends to plant the seed. "Friends, I've found a seed so grand, to plant it now, would you lend a hand?" But his companions were preoccupied. "I'm busy at the moment," said Bubo, the familiar, preening his feathers. "Caught up in reflecting," murmured Vanity, the magic mirror. "Off to play a game of squash," called Plumpkin, the jack-o-lantern. Undeterred, Casthor knelt on the earth and planted the seed himself, covering it with rich, dark soil.
The rainbow mango tree grew at an astonishing pace, its branches reaching for the sky. Casthor marveled at its beauty, the leaves shimmering like jewels in the sunlight. Yet, he needed to learn the art of flight to harvest the fruits. "The only way to harvest this wondrous fruit, I must float," he resolved, seeking help once more.
Casthor combed through the "enchantments of flight," practicing spells with unwavering determination. His friends were still occupied—"Cleaning my feathers," said Bubo. "Scrying right now," noted Vanity. "Making funny faces," laughed Plumpkin. Alone, Casthor mastered the spell, becoming as light as a breeze.
With a flick of his wand, Casthor ascended, his robes billowing gently. He filled his enchanted bag with the rainbow-hued mangoes, their sweetness perfuming the air. As he descended, his friends gathered below, eager for a taste. "Will you help me eat this treat?" he called, a playful twinkle in his eye.
"What a golden opportunity," chirped Bubo. "I will help you polish off one or two," offered Vanity. "Carve up some for me," begged Plumpkin. But Casthor shook his head gently. "Alas, my friends, you made light of my plight, so now this fruit I'll eat alone tonight." He savored each juicy bite, a lesson in perseverance and self-reliance etched in the whispers of the forest.
