Milo, the young and clumsy assistant, nervously paced among the scattered magical ingredients. His eyes darted towards the large, open spell book on the table. "This should have been a simple spell," he muttered to himself, glancing at the array of colorful feathers. The sound of quacking interrupted his thoughts, and he turned to find Queen Seraphina and the royal family, now transformed into bewildered ducks, waddling in confusion. "Oh no, what have I done?"
Prince Ferdinand, now the proud leader of the duck procession, flapped his wings and quacked authoritatively, trying to maintain some semblance of dignity. Milo frantically tried to explain the situation to the few servants who had witnessed the spectacle. "I need to fix this before the ceremony!" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with desperation. The ducks quacked in agreement, their small webbed feet pattering across the polished tiles.
Milo led the way, a nervous resolve in his steps, while Prince Ferdinand and the rest followed, their eyes scanning the forest floor for the rare feather needed to reverse the spell. The woods seemed alive with whispers, the rustling leaves and distant bird calls adding an eerie undertone. "We must find the feather of the Elden Phoenix," Milo instructed, his voice barely above a whisper as they ventured deeper into the enchanted forest.
Milo gasped at the sight, his eyes wide with awe. Prince Ferdinand, with a determined quack, waddled forward, catching the phoenix's curious gaze. The majestic creature tilted its head, a single feather gently drifting down to the ground. "This is it!" Milo exclaimed, rushing to retrieve the feather, his heart pounding with hope and relief.
Milo carefully placed the phoenix feather into the cauldron, reciting the counter-spell with trembling hands. As the mixture bubbled and glowed, a blinding flash enveloped the room. When the light faded, Queen Seraphina and the royal family stood before him, human once more, albeit slightly ruffled. "You did it, Milo," Queen Seraphina said with a gracious nod, her eyes soft with gratitude.
The court gathered to celebrate not only the coronation but the return of their beloved royals. Prince Ferdinand approached Milo, offering a warm smile. "Your quick thinking saved us all," he commended, placing a friendly hand on Milo's shoulder. The assistant beamed with pride, knowing that his clumsy mishap had turned into an unforgettable adventure, one that would be told for generations in the kingdom of Eldoria.
