Elias hurried through the maze of narrow streets, the city's heartbeat pounding in his ears. Unaware of the sinister presence within him, he was a beacon for the lurking shadows.
Finn, cloaked in shadows, watched as Elias entered. "Elias, over here!" He beckoned with a smile that masked his worry. As Elias approached, the candle sputtered, casting eerie shadows that danced on the walls.
Maelis stood atop a skyscraper, his silhouette framed against the stormy sky. His eyes, piercing and cold, scanned the city below. "Finn's methods are foolish," he muttered to himself, dismissing the younger sorcerer’s intentions. The unleashing of the demon within Elias was a disaster waiting to happen, but Maelis believed in a more strategic approach.
Finn paced nervously, the weight of his oath heavy on his conscience. "I can't let them find out," he whispered, knowing the dangers that awaited if Elias's secret was exposed. Yet, he couldn’t shake the fear of failing to protect his friend.
Elias stumbled inside, his mind a storm of confusion. Finn followed closely, his resolve firm. Maelis's presence was palpable, a dark force lurking in the shadows. "Why do I feel like I'm being watched?" Elias asked, his voice echoing off the walls.
Finn stood beside Elias, the truth of their bond unspoken but strong. Maelis watched from afar, knowing he must tread carefully. "We'll find a way," Finn promised, a vow as much to himself as to Elias. The city was waking, and with it, the shadows that danced in the corners of their hearts.
