In the heart of Santiago, Chile, waterways, such as those of the Mapocho River, have become makeshift dumps. Disused furniture and plastics accumulate, affecting both the landscape and local life. The pollution is alarming and demands urgent solutions.
Many industries dump their plastic and technological waste without control. These materials, far from being useless, have immense potential if properly processed. However, their accumulation in watersheds affects biodiversity and aggravates the environmental crisis.
Pollution not only affects the environment; it also deteriorates the health of nearby communities. Respiratory and skin diseases are common among the inhabitants. The urgency to find alternatives has never been greater.
A group of people come together with a clear objective: to raise awareness and take action. Their vision is to reduce pollution by recovering these materials and giving them a new life as functional and aesthetic furniture. Through this project, they hope to inspire others to value recycling as a tool to change the world.
