Lila yawned, stretching her arms overhead as she glanced at her reflection. The oversized blue pajama shirt hung comfortably on her frame, and her slippers padded softly against the wooden floor. Outside, birds chirped, and a gentle breeze stirred the curtains, filling the room with dappled morning light.
"Ah-choo!" The sneeze echoes louder than expected. Lila blinks in surprise, feeling a peculiar sensation as if the world just shifted minutely. She rubs her eyes and notices her pajama sleeves drooping a little lower than before, but dismisses it as imagination.
"That's odd... Did I lose weight overnight?" she murmurs, tugging the waistband of her jeans, which now bunch awkwardly at her waist. Her sweater sleeves extend past her fingertips, almost comically so. The soft, cotton fabric pools around her, making her look like a child playing dress-up.
"Ah-CHOO!" The sensation is stronger this time, almost dizzying. She feels the cushions rise beneath her, and her feet no longer touch the floor. Looking down, she gasps; her pajama pants have slipped off entirely, pooling around her ankles.
"What is happening to me?" she whispers, her voice higher and tinged with panic. She wraps herself in a blanket for modesty, clutching its folds tightly, while her mind races through possibilities. Each movement feels foreign, her once-cozy home now a landscape of looming furniture and oversized doors.
"If my sneezes are causing this... maybe I can stop it," she says, determination flickering in her gaze. She scribbles notes in a journal, plotting ways to avoid triggers, and considers calling a friend for help. Despite her fear, a hint of curiosity shines through—wondering just how small she might become, and what adventures might await if she can master her mysterious shrinking sneeze.
