Raj returned home with a scowl etched deep into his brow. His friends had pressured him into hosting a dinner, and now he stood before his wife, Lila, with an irritated demeanor. "My friends demand a feast," he declared. "Invite them for tomorrow night," Lila replied, calmly planning the meal in her mind.
Raj led his daughters, Mona and Maria, through the crowded stalls, gathering rice, meat, and oil. The girls giggled, unaware of the impending trouble. By evening, Lila had prepared the feast, and relatives gathered, filling the house with laughter and chatter.
Raj entered, expecting a grand dinner, but found only silence. Furious, he confronted Lila, who explained the mishap with the rice and the dogs. In his rage, Raj stormed to the rooftop, seeking solitude.
Raj spotted an old woman, frail and near the well. In a moment of madness, he hurled a stone that struck her down. Chaos erupted as neighbors gathered, mourning the loss and searching for the culprit. Seizing the opportunity, Raj led his friends to the neighbor's house, where they partook in the funeral feast, evading suspicion.
Raj, consumed by anger, took Mona and Maria to the city outskirts, abandoning them in a desolate ruin. The sisters, left alone, cried in despair. Their tears caught the attention of a mysterious light emanating from a nearby boulder.
Mona and Maria removed the stone, revealing a cave basked in a soft, golden light. Inside, they were greeted by a massive bear, its eyes kind yet curious. The bear gestured for them to stay, offering warmth and food. It showed them treasures beyond belief, asking only for companionship in return.
Maria whispered a plan to Mona as the bear slumbered, his head in Mona's lap. Together, they poured boiling water onto the bear, ending its life. The sisters, now wealthy, returned to the city, purchasing a grand home and servants.
A month later, Mona and Maria saw Raj, now a shadow of his former self, wandering aimlessly. They sent a servant to bring him forth. Veiled, they questioned him about his daughters, and his tearful confession revealed his torment.
Mona and Maria revealed themselves, lifting their veils. Joy and sorrow intermingled as Raj and Lila embraced their daughters. The family reconciled, and in gratitude, the sisters provided Raj with a shop to restore his dignity and purpose.
