The wizard paused, spotting a small, wounded mouse lying on the ground, its tiny body trembling in fear. "Fear not, little one," he murmured, lifting the mouse gently in his hands.
The mouse, nestled in a soft nest of fabric, watched as the wizard prepared a healing mixture. The wizard fed him rice grains with care, his eyes kind and reassuring. Over time, the mouse grew strong again, its coat sleek and eyes bright.
"A cat chased me once," the mouse explained, his voice filled with lingering fear. The wizard nodded thoughtfully and, with a wave of his wand, transformed the mouse into a cat.
"But now I'm afraid of dogs," the cat admitted, its ears twitching. The wizard, understanding the fear, transformed the cat into a sturdy dog.
"I'm still afraid," the dog confessed, longing for power. The wizard obliged once more, turning the dog into a majestic tiger. Yet, the tiger's heart remained troubled, knowing the villagers still saw him as a mere mouse.
"As long as the wizard lives, I'll never be more than a mouse in their eyes," the tiger realized, contemplating a dark decision. But the wizard, wise and perceptive, sensed the tiger's thoughts.
"Become a mouse again," the wizard declared, and with a flick of his wand, the tiger was once more a humble mouse. The mouse looked up at the wizard, understanding now that true strength lay within oneself, not in borrowed forms.
