Dr. Bento looked lovingly at his family, his golden-brown shiba features lighting up with a smile as he poured orange juice for his children.
Camila, his wife with gentle eyes and a fluffy tail, buttered toast while their son Lucas and daughter Elizabeth giggled over a silly cartoon playing on a small tablet.
"Can you believe we've lived here a whole year already?"
"Sometimes I miss the English fog, but I love how the sun wakes us up here," replied Camila, her shiba ears twitching with delight.
Elizabeth tugged at her father's paw, her eyes bright with excitement.
"Papa, can we go see the boats after your clinic? I want to draw them for school!"
"Of course, Sofia. Maybe Lucas can help you find the biggest ship," Dr. Bento responded, ruffling Lucas's fur affectionately.
"Only if I get to pick the ice cream today," declared Lucas with a mischievous grin.
Dr. Bento greeted each patient with a wag of his tail and a warm, reassuring smile.
"Tell me, Dona Maria, how has your cough been this week?"
The elderly Cirran, her muzzle graying, answered with gratitude, her voice soft and full of trust.
"Much better, doutor. Your medicine always helps. You remind me of my own son."
Camila pointed out a brightly painted ship with a giant shiba face on its prow, inspiring the children to draw with extra enthusiasm.
"Look, they even painted the ears! This city really loves its shibas,"
"When I grow up, I want to be a captain and sail to England with you, Papa," said Elizabeth, her voice full of dreams.
Dr. Bento gazed at his family, feeling both nostalgia for his home country and gratitude for their new life.
"No matter where we are, as long as we're together, we are home,"
"And as long as we have these faces, we'll always make people smile," Camila added, laughter echoing as their tails wagged in unison.
Lucas leans against his father, voice sleepy but content.
"Do you think the stars look like shibas too, Papa?"
"Perhaps they do, Lucas. In our world, anything is possible,"
The family laughs together, their voices mingling with the soft night breeze, their hearts full in this world of shiba faces.
