"Are you sure we should watch this? The comments say it's cursed," Maya teases, leaning closer.
"Oh, come on, it's probably just some silly internet trick," Elena replies, tapping play.
"I feel... weird. Like everything's spinning," Maya whispers, her voice barely audible over the haunting tune.
"Me too... Maybe we should—" Elena tries to say, but her words blur as the spiral pulses one last time.
Elena tries to speak, but only a soft, startled bark escapes her mouth. Maya lets out a bewildered yowl, circling in place, her green eyes wide with disbelief.
Maya bats at her own tail, then tries to meow a question, but neither can form words—just whimpers and meows that echo their confusion.
Elena nudges the phone with her nose, hoping for a clue, while Maya paces anxiously.
"Mrrrow... woof?" Maya tries, tilting her head, while Elena responds with a gentle wag and a determined look.
The phone on the floor glows faintly, the spiral lingering on the screen as a mysterious reminder of their strange new reality.
