Samrat, with a gleam of adventure in his eyes, clutched the old map tightly. Sahil, ever the brave one, led the way with eager steps, while Jay followed hesitantly, his heart pounding with unease.
"Are we sure about this?" he asked, casting nervous glances around.
"Come on, Jay, where's your sense of adventure?" Sahil teased.
Samrat laughed, "Let's just see what's so mysterious about this mansion."
The mansion stood before them, its grandeur faded, overtaken by decay. Vines clung to its cracked walls, and broken windows hung like empty eye sockets.
"It's like a scene straight out of a horror movie," Samrat remarked with a grin.
"And we're the brave heroes," Sahil added, stepping forward.
Jay hesitated, "I don't like this place. Maybe we should go back."
Ignoring his plea, they pushed the creaking door open, stepping into the mansion's cold embrace.
The grandeur of the hall had long vanished, replaced by neglect and whispers of the past. A lone rocking chair moved, propelled by an unseen force.
"This isn't right... let's get out of here," Jay urged.
Samrat and Sahil exchanged a glance, their curiosity undeterred. The discovery of a hidden door beneath the floorboards beckoned them deeper into the mystery.
Descending into the basement, they found walls marred with strange symbols. The air was thick with foreboding.
"Something's hidden here," Samrat whispered, tracing the symbols.
Sahil stumbled upon an old diary, its pages yellowed with age.
"Listen to this... 'If you read this, you've awakened the mansion. Now you can't escape.'"
The door slammed shut with a resounding thud, trapping them inside.
Panic surged through them as Sahil fell, overtaken by a sinister shadow. His scream pierced the air, then silence.
"We have to find a way out!" Samrat shouted, desperation in his voice.
Jay sobbed, "We can't leave him!"
A message on the wall glowed ominously: "Sacrifice the weakest to escape."
Samrat, driven by survival, made a grim decision.
Samrat emerged alone, the mansion's curse seemingly lifted. But peace eluded him, for each night, Sahil and Jay's screams echoed in his dreams.
His reflection tormented him, a shadow always lurking just behind. Was he truly free, or merely another captive of the mansion's sinister grip?
The question lingered, unanswered, a chilling reminder of the cost of his escape.
