Ravi adjusted his bag, feeling the weight of the unsent letters as he rode his old motorcycle through the village. The night was still, eerily silent, save for the rhythmic thud of the engine. As he turned a corner, the bike sputtered and came to an unexpected halt. "Not now," he muttered, dismounting to inspect the problem.
With no one in sight to offer help, Ravi felt a pang of isolation. The nearest house was miles away, and his phone had no signal. Resigned, he began walking, the night air chilling him to the bone. His footsteps echoed in the silence, each step deeper into the dark unknown.
Ravi paused, feeling the hairs on his neck stand on end. He turned, scanning the shadows for any sign of life. "Who's there?" he called out, his voice trembling slightly. The only response was the whisper of the leaves, and yet, it seemed as though his name was carried on the wind.
From the shadows, a figure emerged, cloaked in darkness but with eyes that seemed to shine in the night. Ravi squinted, trying to make out the features. The Stranger, a tall and enigmatic presence, offered a faint smile. "Lost, are we?" the figure asked, voice smooth and calm.
Ravi hesitated, unsure whether to feel fear or relief. The Stranger seemed familiar, yet he couldn't place where he had seen those eyes before. "I'm just trying to get home," he replied cautiously. The stranger nodded, an understanding passing between them. "Follow me," came the soft reply, as the figure turned towards the woods.
Ravi felt an inexplicable trust and followed the stranger through the trees. The path seemed to glow, each step revealing a new part of the forest bathed in moonlight. It was as if the night itself was guiding him, and with each step, Ravi felt his fears dissipate, replaced by a sense of wonder and peace.
