Geo, the blue-clad leader with his trusty shape belt, builds a towering block tower alongside his friends. Milli, with her pink dress and pattern power bracelets, adds sparkly patterns to the structure. Bot, the friendly green robot with glowing screens for eyes, rolls around stacking blocks with mechanical whirs.
"Look at this super tall tower we're making together! With my shapes and your patterns, Milli, and Bot's strong arms, it's the best in Umi City!"
"Yeah, Geo! My pink ribbons and yellow stars make it extra fancy. Bot, can you add one more block on top without it falling?"
The friends pause their game as a chill wind rustles the leaves, and a translucent white figure floats near the pavilion, its hollow eyes glowing faintly green. Bot's screens flash with alarm signals. Milli clutches her bracelets tightly.
"Warning! Warning! Spectral entity detected! It's moaning and floating right toward us—initiating evasive protocols!" Milli screams, her face pale. Geo freezes for a second before they all bolt.
"A ghost! A real ghost with chains rattling and a spooky wail! Run, everybody, run for our lives before it catches us!"
Panting heavily, Milli and Bot tumble into a clearing, hearts pounding. Geo skids to a halt beside them, his shape belt humming faintly. The ghost's eerie glow fades behind the trees.
"Systems overheating from maximum speed run! That ghost was huge, with a tattered cloak billowing like smoke and arms outstretched to grab us—I've never scanned anything like it before!"
"Geo, it was so scary! It came out of nowhere by the pavilion, whispering 'Umi... Umi...' in a hollow voice, and its eyes pierced right through me. What if it's haunting Umi City forever?"
Geo stands tall, activating his shape belt which projects holographic tools into the air. His friends huddle close, eyes wide with lingering fear. Determination lights up his face as he scans the surroundings.
"Don't worry, team! I'm calling the Umi Alarm. We'll use our mighty math powers to solve this ghost mystery together—no spooky visitor scares Team Umizoomi. Let's pattern it out, shape it up, and count our way to the truth!"
"Affirmative, Geo! My sensors picked up irregular patterns in its movement—maybe it's not a real ghost. Ready to supercharge with you!"
Guided by Geo's math map—a glowing grid of shapes and numbers—they return cautiously. Geo spots irregular footprints and a projector device half-buried in leaves. Tension builds as faint mechanical whirs echo.
"See these triangle footprints? They don't match a ghost's float—count them: three sets leading to this square box. Milli, pattern-match the fabric; Bot, scan for sounds!"
"The fabric has repeating star patterns like my bracelets, but torn and white. And listen—those whirs aren't ghostly moans; they're like a costume machine!"
Prankster Pete, a mischievous boy with messy hair, oversized glasses, and a sheepish grin, emerges from behind a curtain, dropping his ghost sheet. The team surrounds him as the fog machine sputters to a stop.
"Okay, okay, you got me! I was just trying to prank everyone in Umi City for a big laugh with my ghost costume, smoke machine, and glowy eyes projector. I didn't mean to scare you so bad—your math powers are amazing!"
"Whew, no real ghost after all! But pranks can really frighten friends, Pete. Let's use our powers to help you make fun games instead—teamwork makes everything better!"
