Three wolves, Grizz, Howl, and Rook, slink into the diner, their shaggy coats glistening with rain. They slide into a booth, paws leaving damp marks on the checkered floor. Behind the counter, Bessie, a sturdy cow waitress with a crisp apron and a tired smile, approaches with menus in hand.
Grizz leans forward, eyes twinkling mischievously. "Hey, Bessie, you ever worry someone might order the waitress well-done?" Howl snickers, slapping the table. Rook tries to stifle a laugh, glancing nervously at Bessie’s unamused glare. Bessie tightens her grip on the coffee pot, nostrils flaring as she pours.
Grizz can't resist another jab. "I bet the burgers here are so fresh, they come straight from the staff!" Bessie sets her jaw, her patience stretched thin. Howl and Rook exchange uneasy glances, sensing the shift in the air.

Suddenly, Bessie grabs Grizz by the scruff, her strength surprising everyone. With a furious snort, she opens her jaws impossibly wide and swallows him whole. The diner goes deathly quiet, the only sound the rain hammering the roof. Howl and Rook freeze, horror etched across their faces.

"Any more jokes before dessert?" Howl stammers, words lost in fear, while Rook whimpers, claws digging into the vinyl seat. Bessie wastes no time, grabbing both and swallowing them alive, her eyes cold and unblinking.
Inside Bessie, the three wolves struggle desperately, but her stomach is relentless. Their frantic movement slows as digestion overtakes them, leaving only silence. Bessie wipes her hooves on her apron, returns to the counter, and pours herself a cup of coffee, her gaze steely and satisfied.
