Jen cautiously stepped inside the dimly lit shop, her eyes widening at the sight of antique dolls lining the shelves. Each doll seemed meticulously crafted, yet their eyes followed her every move, sending a chill down her spine.
"Wow, these dolls are so creepy... yet beautiful," Jen whispered, her voice barely audible in the oppressive silence of the room.
As Jen reached out to touch one of the dolls, the shop's lights flickered violently, casting long, dancing shadows. The air around her grew heavy, as if the very room held its breath. Then, she heard it—a faint whisper, her name echoing around her.
"Who's there?" Jen called out, her voice quivering with fear. The dolls remained still, but their eyes seemed to glow with a sinister light.
In the back of the shop, Mister Jenkins, the dollmaker, sat hunched over his workbench, his hands deftly working on a new creation. His eyes, however, were fixed on Jen, gleaming with a dark intensity.
"My dolls are not just toys... they're vessels for the souls of the damned," Mister Jenkins murmured, his voice barely rising above a whisper.
Jen's heart pounded as she turned to leave, only to find the door locked, sealing her inside. Panic surged through her as the dolls on the shelves began to move, their eyes ablaze with an otherworldly glow.
"No, this can't be happening," Jen breathed, backing away as the dolls slowly advanced.
Desperation clawed at Jen as the whispers grew louder, drowning out her thoughts. She stumbled backward, her gaze darting around for an escape. The dolls' eyes bore into her, each whispering tales of their tragic, cursed fates.
"I must find a way out," Jen resolved, her mind racing for a solution.
Driven by a surge of determination, Jen hurried towards the back of the shop, her eyes catching a glimpse of a hidden doorway behind a thick curtain. With a final glance at the dolls, she pushed through, hoping beyond hope that it would lead to her salvation.
"I won't be another trapped soul," Jen vowed, her voice steady despite the fear constricting her heart.
