Kabir halted, gazing into the depths of the forest before them. Nisha adjusted her backpack, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Rohit grinned, excitement bubbling in his chest, while Aditi looked wary, sensing something amiss in the air.
"This is it, guys. The adventure we've been waiting for," Kabir declared with a determined nod.
"I hope it's worth the hike," Nisha replied, her voice laced with curiosity.
Rohit was the first to spot the cabin, hidden beneath a canopy of overgrown trees. Aditi shivered slightly as they approached, the air growing colder.
"Looks abandoned. Maybe we should camp here tonight?" Rohit suggested, peering through the broken window panes.
"I don't know, there's something off about this place," Aditi murmured, her eyes scanning the eerie surroundings.
The group settled inside, laying out their sleeping bags amidst the cobweb-laden corners. Kabir watched the clock, its hands unmoving, as if time itself had halted.
"Did you hear that?" Nisha whispered, her voice barely audible over the creaks of the old wood.
"Just the wind, probably," Kabir reassured, though uncertainty flickered in his eyes.
Rohit froze, staring at the bizarre sight. Aditi gasped, clutching Nisha's arm as whispers echoed faintly from nowhere.
"This isn't normal," Rohit uttered, his voice trembling.
"We should leave, now," Aditi urged, fear evident in her tone.
The friends ran through the forest, hearts pounding, but every path led them back to the ominous cabin. The forest seemed alive, conspiring against them.
"It's like the woods are playing tricks on us," Kabir panted, frustration creeping into his voice.
"We need a plan, something to break this cycle," Nisha suggested, determination shining in her eyes.
As the night deepened, visions of a family, their lives violently snuffed out, haunted the friends. Aditi sobbed quietly, understanding the cabin's curse.
"It's feeding on our fears, our weaknesses," Rohit concluded, his voice hollow.
"We must confront this, together," Kabir insisted, a fierce resolve igniting within him.
