Mohann and his friends stood at the boundary of the haunted house, their flashlights casting small pools of light in the overwhelming darkness. The air was thick with anticipation and a hint of fear as they approached the imposing structure. The house loomed before them, its windows like dark eyes watching their every move. The creaking of the wooden gate sent shivers down their spines.
"Let's go in," urged Mohann, trying to muster courage for his friends.
As they stepped inside, the door creaked ominously behind them, sealing their fate for the night. The interior was cold and foreboding, with walls covered in layers of dust and spider webs that swayed gently in the night breeze. Each step they took echoed in the silent corridors, amplifying their fear.
"I heard something," whispered one of the friends, clutching Mohann's arm tightly.
The whispers grew louder, as if the house itself was breathing. The boys exchanged nervous glances, their bravado slowly waning. The origin of the whispers seemed to be from a distant room, urging them to explore further.
"It's just the wind," Mohann tried to reassure, though his own voice wavered with doubt.
In one of the rooms, a large portrait hung on the wall. The family depicted in the painting seemed to watch them intently, especially the woman whose eyes followed their every move. The boys felt an inexplicable chill, and Mohann bravely stepped closer.
"It's just a painting," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
As they turned to leave, one of the boys noticed an old book lying on a table, its pages yellowed with age. Curiosity piqued, Mohann picked it up, reading aloud the ominous warning inscribed within its pages.
"Whoever spends the night here must face their past," he read, a shiver running down his spine.
Suddenly, the room was bathed in a blinding light, and the figure of the woman from the portrait appeared before Mohann. Her ghostly presence was both terrifying and mesmerizing.
"You have entered my domain," she intoned, her voice echoing through the room. Mohann felt his courage falter as he faced the apparition that seemed to challenge them to uncover the truth of the haunted house.
