Sam Carter, a young urban explorer with a flashlight clutched tightly in hand, hesitates at the rusted gate. The air feels colder here, unnaturally so, as a distant thunder rumbles above. His friend, Leah Kim, shoves the gate open, her camera ready to capture whatever secrets the night might reveal.
Leah Kim whispers, "I heard this place was shut down after something terrible happened in the children’s ward. They say not everyone left."
Sam swallows nervously, his footsteps echoing as they move deeper inside. Something—perhaps a curtain—flutters in a draft, though all the windows seem closed.
Sam freezes, heart pounding, as a soft giggle reverberates down the hallway. Leah aims her camera, its red recording light blinking. "Did you hear that? It sounded like a child… but it’s almost midnight."
Sam backs away, struggling to keep the flashlight steady. "We need to leave. Now."
The nurse glides closer, her voice a rasping whisper, Ghost Nurse: "You shouldn’t be here. They never let me leave…"
Leah grabs Sam's arm, dragging him toward the only exit that remains unblocked. Shadows dart across the walls, and unseen hands claw at their clothing. Sam gasps, "Don’t look back, just keep running!"
Leah shivers, clutching her camera with trembling hands. "Did you see her? She wanted help… but she’s trapped here forever."
Sam glances back, unease lingering in his eyes. The hospital stands silent, but the echoes of its horrors follow them into the night.
