Abby Martin clutched her flashlight tightly, her heart pounding in her chest. Her friends followed close behind, their faces pale in the weak light. Suddenly, a wispy white figure flickered at the end of the corridor, its shape shifting and swirling in the darkness.
Jenny, Abby’s best friend, lets out a shriek. "Run! It’s coming closer!" The group darts around a corner, desperate to find safety, knocking over a vase that shatters with a loud crash.
Geo Umizoomi, the mathematical superhero, looks up from his calculations. "Geo! There’s a ghost in the hallway! We saw it—floating, glowing, everything!" "Don’t worry, Abby. Team Umizoomi is here to help! Can you show me where you saw it?"
"Look! Those footprints are too small for a real ghost. Let’s follow them," Geo whispers. The friends nod, nerves giving way to curiosity as they edge closer to the mysterious figure.
"It was you all along, Max! You really scared us," Abby exclaims, half relieved and half amused. Max grins sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Remember, not everything scary is what it seems," Geo says with a wink. The group promises to stick together, ready for their next adventure—and maybe a little less afraid of the dark.
