Lena had just moved to town, her curiosity heightened by the eerie legends.
"It's just another urban myth," [@ch_1]she[/@ch_1_d] muttered, dismissing the stories she read online.
Lena turned slowly, her breath catching in her throat as she saw the silhouette of a tall figure across the street.
"Who's there?" [@ch_1]she[/@ch_1_d] called out, but received no reply.
She tried to rationalize it, but the sensation grew stronger, leaving her restless and uneasy.
"It's all in my head," [@ch_1]she[/@ch_1_d] whispered, though doubt gnawed at her resolve.
Her attempts to rid herself of the feeling were futile, and she began to dread the inevitable nightfall.
"Why won't it stop?" [@ch_1]she[/@ch_1_d] thought, her mind racing with fear.
Trembling, she reached for her phone, the dim light revealing the figure standing ominously at the foot of her bed.
"No eyes... no mouth..." [@ch_1]she[/@ch_1_d] realized, terror gripping her heart as she met its faceless gaze.
Lena froze, the finality of the words sinking in.
"I watch, so you don't have to."
