Lina remains behind as the last footsteps echo down the hallway, her hands busy arranging chairs into neat rows. She hums softly to herself, the silence comforting after the chatter of her classmates. The clock on the wall ticks steadily, marking the end of another school day.
Lina pauses mid-motion, her fingers tightening around a stack of books. Suddenly, she hears it—a faint, desperate whisper curling through the empty room. Unknown Voice "Pssst... help me..."
Lina scans the room, heart pounding in her chest. She calls out, her voice trembling. "Is someone there? Who needs help?" Only silence answers her, but the air feels thick with unseen presence.
Lina inches closer, her footsteps muffled by the linoleum floor. She notices scratched words on the windowpane, hastily etched: "Find the key." "What key? Where are you?" she whispers, her breath fogging the glass.
Unknown Voice "The key... it's in the old desk drawer. Please, hurry..." Lina rushes to the teacher's desk, her hands shaking as she tugs at the stubborn drawer. Inside, beneath a pile of unused worksheets, she discovers a small, rusty key.
Lina clutches the key, her courage growing. "I found it! What do you need me to do now?" As she waits for a reply, a sense of purpose settles over her—a promise that her discovery is only the beginning of a much deeper mystery in room 3B.
