Miella sat cross-legged on the floor, her eyes glued to the animated characters dancing across the screen. Excitement bubbled within her at the thought of visiting her Nana’s house. "I can't wait to see Nana," she sang to herself, already imagining the fun adventures they would have.
Abigail, Miella’s mother, called out from the doorway. "Miella, are you ready to go?" she asked, her voice warm and inviting. Miella leaped to her feet, nodding enthusiastically. Abigail smiled, lifting her daughter gently into the car seat, making sure she was snug and safe.
Miella watched the world whiz by from her window, her little hands tapping to a rhythm only she could hear. Abigail glanced back at her daughter, her heart swelling with love. "We're almost there, sweetheart," she assured. Miella clapped her hands in delight, her mind already racing with stories to share with Nana.
As the car pulled into the driveway, Miella could barely contain her excitement. Nana, a sprightly woman with a twinkle in her eye, stood on the porch waving. "Hi Monkey!”she called out, her voice a melody of joy. Miella dashed towards her, engulfed in a warm embrace.
Nana and Miella sat among the crayons and paper, creating worlds only they could see. "And then the dragon flew over the rainbow," Miella narrated, her eyes wide with imagination. Nana listened intently, nodding at every twist in the tale, her heart full of pride and love.
Miella yawned, her eyelids drooping with the weight of the day’s adventures. Abigail appeared at the door, signaling it was time to go. "Goodbye, Nana. I love you," Miella whispered, hugging her tightly. Nana kissed her forehead. "I love you too, Monkey," she replied softly, watching them leave with a heart full of cherished memories.
