Zylo hurries through the streets, his cloak pulled tight against the drizzle. He glances nervously at the clocktower, feeling the weight of unresolved problems pressing on his mind. The city feels restless, as if on the edge of something momentous.
"I can't ignore it any longer. The issue grows every minute,"
Diamond sits at the far end, her silver hair catching the light. She watches Zylo approach, her eyes sharp and calculating. Veyrix Kael stands nearby, leaning against a pillar, arms folded, his expression unreadable.
"You look troubled, Zylo. Is it the issue again?"
"It's worse than before. We have to act now, before it spreads,"
"Then let's not waste time. What do you propose?"
Zylo 's finger traces a path toward the city’s old quarter, where rumors speak of mysterious disruptions. Diamond draws her dagger, ready for whatever comes. "We confront the issue at its source—tonight, in the old quarter,"
"If it’s as dangerous as you say, we’ll need all our skills,"
"And perhaps a little luck,"
Zylo leads the way, his breath visible in the chill. Diamond and Veyrix Kael follow, alert for signs of danger. Suddenly, a flicker of unnatural light bursts from a doorway, and the issue—manifested as a swirling shadow—emerges.
"This is it. Stand your ground!"
"We face it together,"
Veyrix Kael retrieves the artifact, holding it up for all to see. Relief washes over Zylo , and Diamond allows herself a rare smile. The city feels lighter, as if a burden has lifted.
"We’ve resolved the issue, but its legacy remains. We must be vigilant,"
"Agreed. Let’s return—there’s much to discuss,"
Zylo gazes out, pondering the lessons learned. Diamond watches the sunrise, her resolve strengthened. Veyrix Kael remains silent, but his eyes betray a sense of purpose.
"Every issue leaves its mark. But together, we can face whatever comes,"
