Red stood by the comms room, their mind a storm of grief and fury. The loss of their child was a wound too deep to bear. "Why did it have to be them?" they whispered to themselves, clutching a small, worn-out toy as a tear slipped down their cheek.
Blue, trying to break the silence, spoke up. "We need to find out who's behind this. We can't let them get away."
Red slammed their fist on the table, their voice trembling with rage. "It was Black. I know it. I saw them near the reactor just before the sabotage."
Black stood with their arms crossed, defiant and unfazed by the accusation. "I was fixing wires, nothing more," they argued, their eyes narrowing. Red stepped forward, their voice a low growl. "You're lying. I won't let you get away with this."
Yellow, the resident tech expert, typed furiously on the console. "I've pulled up the footage. Let's see what really happened," they announced. As the grainy video played, all eyes were glued to the screen. The truth flickered into view, revealing a different crewmate sneaking away from the scene.
Green, the ship's captain, addressed the crew. "We have our culprit. Justice must be served," they declared. Red's heart was heavy, their grief still raw, but a sense of closure began to settle in as the imposter was ejected into the void.
Red stood alone, gazing out at the infinite expanse. The pain of loss was still there, but so was the determination to keep moving forward. "I'll protect them all, for you," they murmured, clutching the toy tighter as the stars continued their silent vigil.
